Updated: Dec 12, 2023

High Altitude Mixed Batch Cookie Dough - great for Chocolate Chip, Raisins, Nuts, etc…

a No Brown Sugar (No Chisel Needed) Recipe….

Baked at 8750’

Set oven to 350 degrees

Remember to remove anything from the oven

For cookies, I do not weigh my ingredients, start by combining in a bowl…

Ingredients:

1 1/2 cup White SUGAR 3/4 cup Room Temperature BUTTER 1 Teaspoon Salt 2 Tablespoons VANILLA 2 room temperature Large EGGS 2 1/4 cup 11.7% FLOUR 1/2 tsp Baking SODA

Directions:

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F

  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  • In a large mixing bowl, cream the softened butter and granulated sugar together until light and fluffy, using an electric mixer or stand mixer.

  • Add in the eggs and vanilla extract, and mix until well combined.

  • In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.

  • Gradually add the dry ingredients into the wet mixture, mixing until just combined.

  • Fold in the chocolate chips, raisins, nuts, white chocolate, etc. or any combination to taste…

  • Using a cookie scoop or spoon, portion the dough into balls and place them onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving some space between each cookie.

  • I scoop with a Cookie Scoop and then flatten a bit with the back of a spoon

  • Sprinkle pretzel salt on top prior to baking...

  • If this is the first time trying this recipe, bake a sample cookie…

  • Always check your oven temperature prior to baking…

  • Bake for 10-12 minutes, until the edges are lightly golden brown.

  • Remove from the oven and allow the cookies to cool for a few minutes on the baking sheet before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.

These cookies will be slightly different in texture and taste from the traditional chocolate chip cookies made with brown sugar, but they're still delicious and a great option for those who don't have brown sugar on hand.

My oven is temperamental, but I bake for 15 minutes…
