Mom to Many (4) Living at 8750' for 14 plus years, Baking and Experimenting Daily... I am a wife of 25 Years and Mom to several young adults that just won't leave home (I blame it on my nightly dinner).. I grew up eating fast food in big cities... It wasn't until we moved our family to the middle of nowhere that I had to rely on my high altitude kitchen...

Over 9 years ago, I began sharing my successes and failures while experimenting with recipes. It all started when a friend asked me to ensure her grandmother's favorite carrot cake would turn out the same at their vacation ski chalet. From there, I began testing recipes for high altitude kitchens.

I am the Administrator of a Wonderful Facebook Group Called High Altitude Baking and Cooking where I share and facilitate a group of 40,000+ High Altitude Bakers across the Globe...

I bake in a tiny kitchen in Colorado at 8750'...

I created this page out of High Altitude Baker frustration... not everyone has Facebook so I wanted to share my knowledge with a larger group of High Altitude Bakers without pop-up ads and never ending scrolling...

 

I wanted to create a VERY POSITIVE and encouraging place to bookmark, when you need help in your High Altitude Kitchen...

I have mastered adapting everyday sea level recipes to

High Altitude Successes...
I leave the recipe developers and content creators to do their job...

Then I follow their recipe and adapt it for High Altitude Kitchens...
(and my picky eaters!)
